Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park – The Land of Giants

We begin your safari experience in Arusha, where we pick you up early in the morning and drive toward Tarangire National Park. Known for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, Tarangire offers a stunning introduction to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.

As we enter the park, the landscape quickly transforms into rolling savannah, dotted with acacia trees and the life-giving Tarangire River. This river attracts large concentrations of wildlife, especially during the dry season.

During our game drive, we expect to encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, and a variety of antelope species. Lions are also commonly spotted resting under the shade of trees.

We enjoy a full day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park, allowing us to stay close to the wildlife and experience uninterrupted nature.

In the evening, we exit the park and head to our lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park – Entering the Endless Plains

After breakfast, we depart toward Serengeti National Park, passing through the beautiful highlands of Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, we enjoy scenic views of Maasai villages and vast open landscapes.

As we descend into Serengeti, the environment changes dramatically into endless golden plains stretching beyond the horizon. This is one of the most famous wildlife regions in the world.

We begin our first Serengeti game drive immediately upon entry. Depending on the season, we may witness large herds of wildebeest and zebra moving across the plains as part of the Great Migration.

We continue exploring the central Serengeti, especially the Seronera Valley, which is known for year-round wildlife activity including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas.

Dinner and overnight stay take place inside the Serengeti, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 3: Full Day Serengeti Safari – Big Cats and Migration Trails

This is one of the most important days of the safari, as we spend a full day exploring Serengeti National Park.

We start early in the morning when predators are most active. The Serengeti is famous for its big cat population, and we often encounter lions hunting, leopards resting in trees, and cheetahs scanning the plains for prey.

We follow wildlife movement patterns based on real time tracking and seasonal migration routes. If the Great Migration is present in the region, we focus our game drives around river crossings and grazing herds.

We enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild and continue exploring different areas of the Serengeti throughout the day.

In the evening, we return to our lodge or tented camp for dinner and relaxation under the African sky.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Wildlife and Crater Views

After breakfast, we enjoy a final morning game drive in Serengeti before heading toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The drive itself offers additional wildlife sightings, especially as we exit the plains and move into highland terrain.

We arrive at the Ngorongoro rim in the late afternoon. From here, we enjoy breathtaking views of the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.

This area is often cooler and misty, creating a completely different atmosphere compared to Serengeti. We settle into our lodge near the crater rim for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Safari – The Natural Wildlife Sanctuary

We start early and descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive in one of the most unique ecosystems in Africa.

The crater is home to an incredible density of wildlife, including the Big Five: lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and the rare black rhinoceros.

We explore grasslands, swamps, forests, and lakes all within a single enclosed area. Flamingos often gather around Lake Magadi, while hippos rest in water pools.

After a full wildlife experience, we ascend the crater and begin our drive back to Arusha, marking the end of our 5 day Serengeti safari journey.
