However, please note that long game drives (6-8 hours) may be tiring for very young children. We recommend discussing your family's needs when booking.
For river crossing photography, we recommend: DSLR or mirrorless camera with a telephoto lens (200-500mm or longer), extra batteries and memory cards (you'll take hundreds of photos), a beanbag or window mount for stability, and a zoom lens for wider landscape shots. River crossings happen quickly, so practice fast focusing. Smartphones with zoom can also capture decent memories, but for professional results, bring proper gear.
Essential items include: neutral-colored clothing (khaki, olive, tan - no bright colors), warm layers for early morning game drives (temperatures can drop to 50°F/10°C), sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen 30+ SPF), comfortable walking shoes, insect repellent, personal medications, binoculars, camera gear, and a reusable water bottle.
